What ingredients do we need to make this homemade apple pie recipe?
for a 20–22 cm diameter mold:
1 kg of golden apples
2 eggs
4 tablespoons of cornflour and 4 tablespoons of pastry flour
8 tablespoons of sugar
1 glass of whole milk
1 packet of baking powder
grated lemon zest
the juice of half a lemon
apricot or peach jam
butter to grease the mold.
How to make easy apple pie: step-by-step preparation”
1. We preheat the oven, and, meanwhile, we prepare the pie crust:
In a sufficiently deep bowl, we chop or grate all the apples except for one, which we reserve to slice and cover the pie. We add the eggs, milk, sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the bowl and beat until we get a smooth mixture. Next, we add the cornflour and flour through a sieve or strainer, along with the baking powder. We beat again until the flours are integrated and there are no lumps.
2. Spread some butter onto a springform pan and pour the batter from the bowl into it.
3. We preheat the oven, and while it heats, we prepare the pie crust:
In a deep enough bowl, we chop or grate all the apples except one, which we will reserve to slice and cover the pie. We add the eggs, milk, sugar, lemon zest, and juice to the bowl and beat until we get a smooth mixture. Then we add the cornflour and flour through a sieve. We beat again until the flours are integrated and there are no lumps.
We butter a springform pan and pour the mixture from the bowl into it. We put it in the oven at 190–200 OC until we set the pie. Every oven is different cooking times, so I recommend you do the toothpick test to know when it’s ready. When a toothpick inserted in the center of the pie comes out dry, the apple pie is ready to be taken out of the oven.

We sprinkle a little sugar on top and put it back in the oven, on the grill function, until the apples are golden brown to our liking.
