Ingredients

  • 1 Old El Paso™ Taco Kit
  • 500 g of ground beef
  • 125 g grated cheese
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 lettuce torn into pieces
  • 1 kit contains: 12 corn shells 1 sachet of Taco spices, 1 sachet of Taco sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the filling: In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil and brown the ground beef. Add the taco seasoning mix and 100 ml of water. Mix. Bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir regularly.
  • Heat the Taco Shells: IN A CONVENTIONAL OVEN: Preheat your oven to 180°C (gas mark 6). Separate the corn shells and place them one by one, opening down, on the oven tray. Heat for 2-3 minutes. IN A MICROWAVE OVEN (900W): Separate the corn shells and place them, opening down, on the microwave turntable. Heat for one minute at full power just before serving (adjust the time according to the power of your oven).
  • Garnish and enjoy: Bring all the ingredients to the table and let everyone create their own taco according to their taste: ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, grated cheese, and taco sauce. You can serve your tacos with guacamole or sour cream.
  • Tips
  • Vegetarians can simply substitute 1 can of Old El Paso™ Refried Beans and 1 can of corn for the ground meat and top with a dollop of sour cream or creamy guacamole.
